The Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation, through its BRIDGE Project Team, joined the 6th Special Meeting of the Protected Area Management Bureau (PAMB) for the Upper Marikina River Basin Protected Landscape (UMRBPL) on 13 August 2026 at the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), Taytay, Rizal.

Through this meeting, the Foundation had an opportunity to orient the PAMB about the BRIDGE Project and its implementation activities in Antipolo City that align with the strategic thrust of the city government and the UMRBPL. It also served as an avenue to identify the areas where the BRIDGE Project can support the development initiatives of the Antipolo City and the UMRBPL.

This is part of the continuing efforts of the BRIDGE Project to strengthen its relationship with the relevant Regional Offices and Bureaus under the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and ensure that the Project directly contributes to the national efforts driving disaster and climate resilience at the local level.  Specifically, the BRIDGE Project will support the development of the UMRBPL Protected Area Management Plan (PAMP) and the finalization of the Kaksaan ne Dumaget de Antipolo Inc.’s Ancestral Domain Sustainable Development and Protection Plan (ADSDPP).

Funded by Global Affairs Canada, PDRF is implementing the BRIDGE Project to enhance the disaster and climate resilience of the cities of Antipolo and Baguio.
