The Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF) through its Building Resilience through Inclusive Development and Gender Equality (BRIDGE) Project, convened key Antipolo private sector and local government representatives on June 9, 2026 to explore how they could collaborate on strengthening local institutions’ capacity for disaster risk reduction and management and integrated water resources management (IWRM). 

The dialogue, attended by representatives from the Yula Women’s Initiative Inc., Office of the Indigenous Peoples’ Mandatory Representative, Mariwska Integrated Farm, Antipolo Institute of Technology, Tulungan sa Kabuhayan ng Calawis Inc., Zonta Club Antipolo, the Antipolo city offices for Tourism, Social Welfare and Development, Veterinary, and Disaster Risk Reduction and Management, and the Department of Education, focused on exploring viable collaboration paths under the BRIDGE Project implementation. Participants committed to supporting and amplifying one another’s  programs on gender equality and social inclusion, and integrated water resources management, a concrete first step toward cross-sector coordination the dialogue was meant to spark.

BRIDGE is a four-year project implemented by PDRF with funding support from Global Affairs Canada to enhance the disaster and climate resilience of water-stressed communities in Antipolo and Baguio.
